When we are booking Tahiti holiday packages, we often have to include pre or post accommodation in Papeete as cruise schedules don’t always match flight schedules, as the flights don’t operate every day. There are many hotels to choose from in Papeete from some very basic rooms through to luxury five star resorts. Many people don’t want to spend a huge amount on their Papeete accommodation but they also want somewhere comfortable and reputable as well.
Our preferred choice in Papeete is Te Moana Tahiti Resort. Offering excellent value for money, you’ll enjoy fantastic facilities without the hefty price tag. The infinity pool, complete with sand floor from the islands of Polynesia, and the Resort’s own motu make it feel like you’re still in the islands.
You can enjoy a cocktail at the Beach Bar or at the swim up Taapuna Bar while listening to different local artists perform. There’s also a jazz evening once a month and weekly “barbackology” evenings offering artistic performances with a barbecue-themed menu suggested a la carte at Restaurant Taapuna.
The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, decorated in authentic Polynesian style and include breakfast daily.
Just 10 minutes from the airport and 12 minutes from central Papeete, Te Moana Tahiti Resort is ideal for pre/post cruise stays. In fact, you may wish to stay longer!
