If you’ve never thought about taking a Christmas cruise, here’s some food for thought. Think huge, decorated trees, stairwells glittering with fairy lights, Christmas carols by candlelight, romantic piano tunes and sumptuous Christmas meals. The atmosphere on board a cruise ship at Christmas time is something else and best of all, there’s no food prep or clean up afterwards!
Christmas Day can be a relaxed affair when (if you’re travelling without kids) you can wake at your leisure, enjoy a beautiful breakfast, soak up the music and songs and eat, drink and be merry to your heart’s content! If Christmas falls on a port day, you can spend the day exploring a new destination then return to ship with a full meal and evening’s entertainment.
For those with family, it’s a fantastic option. With activities galore, kids will relish the build-up and parents can relax and enjoy the festivities. It’s a great chance to relax with family or friends without anyone being in the kitchen or facing a big pile of dishes at the end. On Boxing Day, you can sleep as long as you like and relax beside the pool, or venture ashore if the ship isn’t at sea.
If you’re taking a river cruise, the markets are amazing with intricately designed decorations, hot chocolate, ice skating and lots of fabulous gifts to buy. It’s the perfect way to experience a white Christmas and get all the feels!
Give us a call to take a look at what options there are for 2024. While you’re busy slaving over the hot stove, or washing a big pile of dishes, you could be dreaming of next Christmas relaxing with your feet up!
