Dreaming about 2021
Let’s get dreaming about 2021! Where will you go? Will you be sticking close to home and cruising Australia’s waters, or will you venture further afield and tick off one of your bucket list destinations? After all, we’ve suddenly been made very aware that we need to seize our opportunities while they’re there! Let’s take a look at some of the options for 2021:
For those not wishing to go too far, or those who like the idea of helping local businesses get up and running again, there are some excellent choices for 2021.
Right now, Coral Expeditions is offering a 10% Early Bird discount for bookings before 31 August 2020 (this was extended from April due to COVID-19 interruptions). Plus, if you book before 31 May 2020, they’ll also throw in “Complimentary Deposit Protection” meaning that if you are unable to travel due to COVID-19 restrictions, you can transfer your deposit to another cruise (terms and conditions apply).
We’re especially excited about their Tasmania cruises. Because the ship is small – only 72 guests on board! – they can duck into places you wouldn’t otherwise see. Their itineraries are also flexible because of the size of the ship and number of people, so the captain and expeditions leader will adjust it to make the most of favourable weather conditions. You can request a brochure and more details here – complete with added inclusions such as a $1000 air credit per cabin and a free nights accommodation.
Heading north, we’ve got some great packages to The Kimberley. 2021 is a fantastic time to explore the remote regions of Australia. Escape the crowds and see the raw majesty of this spectacular region. We’ve got some fantastic specials with Ponant Cruises for the 2021 season with various discounts from 10% through to 25%, or air credits and a free nights accommodation.
Ponant is currently offering a “Booking with Serenity” policy whereby for any new bookings, in case of cancellation your cruise is fully refundable up to 90 days of confirmation (terms and conditions apply). For any new bookings on 2020 departures, Ponant are offering just a 10% deposit, with final payment due 30 days prior to departure. You can also cancel up to 30 days prior to departure and receive a full refund or cruise credit (terms and conditions apply). Ask us for the full details.

If you’ve been cooped up inside throughout the pandemic, a little sojourn to the Pacific Islands might be just what’s needed to restore your humour. Tahiti, with her gentle island breezes and gorgeous lagoons, or Vanuatu with her beautiful, friendly people perhaps?
Aranui Cruises is an essential freight supplier to the remote Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. This is a great opportunity to see how this system works for those people living in isolated areas. The supply ship calls once a fortnight and delivers everything from fruit and vegies through to furniture, cars and more. The ship combines the freight operation with passenger services – a very cool little number for those looking for something a little different. See more here.
In 2022, Aranui Cruises is also launching a new ship, the AraMana. Unlike the Aranui 5, the AraMana is purely passenger focused but still retains the authentic Aranui character. Visiting the Tuamotu, Austral, Gambier and Society Island groups, these cruises are going to be something special. As well as seeing some of the iconic sights of Tahiti (eg. Bora Bora), you’ll also get to see places the average tourist doesn’t get to. You can see our article on the AraMana here or register your interest in these voyages here.
Perhaps you want to seize the day and venture further afield in 2021 or 2022 and see those places you’ve spent your lifetime dreaming about? Whether you want to head to the Antarctic, up to the Arctic Circle, the Mississippi River, explore magical Iceland or soak up the sun in the Seychelles, we’ve got you covered.
We’ve got our finger on the pulse with the new policies being offered by the cruise lines and airlines during this period so give us a call to discuss the options. As strange as it may seem, booking now actually gives you more flexibility and better terms and conditions than before the virus hit!
Give us a call if you want to discuss your plans.
